Rebekah Merea is a British artist residing in Warwickshire, England whose work explores quiet defiance found in feminine power, vulnerability and self reclamation.

Rebekah’s artistic roots stretch back to childhood where she spent her days chalking mermaids on pavements, reading fairytales and Edgar Allen Poe and endlessly drawing women. Early threads that now run deeply through her creative voice.

Mostly self-taught Rebekah has been creating and selling paintings for over fifteen years. She never followed a traditional art-school route, instead developing her craft through dedicated personal practice and focused study in life drawing and oil painting with prolific Northamptonshire painter, the late John Luce Lockett. This independent path has shaped a style that feels intuitive and emotionally grounded.

Drawing inspiration from Mother Nature, cyclical change and the human form, her collections invite viewers to pause and reflect on what it means to be seen, to embrace the full spectrum of the feminine experience and to celebrate women’s bodies as an expression of strength and freedom.

When not painting or working her day job, Rebekah likes watching horror movies, reading, walks in nature and spending time with her partner and three cats.
